AT R1500 ZAR PER PERSON AT A MINIMUM OF 2 PEOPLE
We travel from Cape Town to Boulders Bay Penguins in Simon's Town to
view the African Penguins living in the Wild. Optional extra to swim with
Penguins(See details below). We then continue to visit the Cape of Good
Hope Peninsula and Cape Point. Magnificent scenery and spectacular
beaches. This is the most South Western Point of South Africa. a great
day out while staying in Cape Town.
THE AFRICAN PENGUINS
The Penguins at Cape Town's Boulders Bay Beach used to be called
Jackass penguins because of their distinctive mating call that sounds like
a braying donkey. Because South American penguins make the same mating
noise, Our Jackass Penguins name changed to African Penguins or Black
Footed Penguins.
They are very fast swimmers at up too 24kmph and look like they are
flying under water. They have excellent camouflage against predators
with Black backs making them hard to spot from above and
White belies making it hard to be spotted from below.
Extra option add on: Swimming with Penguins in the Wild:
for R400 Per Person more You will have the Opportunity to do a guided
Swim with the Penguins (Weather Dependent).
This magical opportunity to be swimming with penguins is offered from a
small private beach named Foxy Beach and is a great adventure few tourist
ever get to experience.
The water is a bit refreshing but warmer on this False Bay Coast side facing
east unlike other colder swimming beaches on the west.
Our guided Penguin Snorkel would include the use of wet-suites
and snorkel gear.
